I purchased this case to complement a 9' TFO BVK. The case is sized right and sturdy for its intended purpose. I like the fact that it won't roll on a flat surface. The cordura nylon covering and the YKK zipper attaching the top are both heavy duty. The adjustable shoulder strap is a nice touch and can be used to attach to a backpack.
The inner PVC skeleton is relatively light gauge to save weight. It is fine for hauling around in the car and for protection in the field. I would not, however, check it as a piece of airline luggage without further protection. Extremely rough handling or crushing could overwhelm the PVC or pop the zipper. The 4-piece sized case is 32 in. long and will fit inside a suitcase or duffel bag for air travel without worry. Overall I am very pleased with the TFO case and believe it will do its job well for years.
