I have 3 of these boats and use them for rafting rivers in Colorado and Utah. We can go out pretty comfortably self contained for 2 nights camping along the shore and regularly take them on class 1-2 (maybe a 2 1/2 here and there)rapids. The weak spot are the inflation valves, but the manufacturer is good about getting replacement parts out to you. I've tried other one person baots an think this is the cadillac cruiser. Oh I forgot , the oar stops are not at all durable and I cant find replacements, so expect to buy new oars every year.

Pontoon boats are fine for lakes and ponds , slow rivers but forget about them in faster water. High center of gravity make them tip easily especially if you happen to go into a rock sideways. DONT BUY if you are doing western rivers like Big Hole, Beaverhead, Bitterroot but fine for Clark Fork, Missouri, and larger waters. Windy days blow you all over, like a sail on the water. I prefer Watermaster, Able or low profile , more stable products.

easy to use in rivers, pole holder works great. its a great boat for the price, hope to see more of them on the nortwest rivers. tony
