I use these bags around the house a lot for storing cheese and other items I buy in large quantities. I really like it, but have gotten several bags that the little round thing doesn't stay on when removed from the box. Needless to say, these bags can't be used for long term storage. They should replace these bags.

Great replacement for my large vacuum machine. Love the simplicity of the manual pump (just like my vacuvin for half bottles of wine). Using to store regular food - I don't hunt or fish - but will give the rechargeable pump to my cousin who hunts, then he can get his own bags, and trade me a deer tenderloin!

Excellent, Simple and Fast to Use.

we use around the kitchen for cheese and lunch meats easy open and re seal when needed will use for frezzing fish this spring

After fishing and catching a bunch of crappies,I immediately filet them, clean them up and dry them off and put them in the zip-bag.No freezing them in water to keep fresh.You can put any amount of filets in each bag,a meal for yourself or all your friends.Once the bag is empty wash it out and reuse.Excellent for all uses wet or dry.

Out of 6 bags I got 2 with a good seal and the other 4 lost their seal the next day.
Why doesn't someone make a unit that uses zip-lock bags that are more reasonably priced.
The Zip-Vac unit (like all the others) is about them selling the outrageous
priced bags after the initial purchase.

i use it a lot when buying in bulk at the store,making smaller packages,the hand pump works as good as the battery powered unit, great for in the field, venison,heart,liver etc.i wish the bags were a little more flexable.
