My father caught an 8-1/2 lb Largemouth Bass on a 4 section bamboo fly rod, cortland fly line and an Old Skipper Black & White popper with (rubber band type) legs. I was paddling the boat for him and was only 8 years old. I do have a picture, but would have to get Randy, my 12 year old grandson, to give me computer instructions on how do this. By the way, my Father has been gone for 34 years now - but, I did learn a great deal from him, for instance my three (3) grandsons (Randy, Sam and Jameson) each caught their first bass (1 lb or so) when that reached the grand old age of three (3).
