Comments about Book Author Great Lakes Salmon Trout Fishing - The Complete Troller#39;s Guide:

I had been away from Great Lakes fishing for 15 years until the last two seasons. A lot has changed! This really brought me up on some newer ideas and reinfored old ones. Only down side--it is winter in the great lakes, and I have fish fever now.

Comments about Book Author Great Lakes Salmon Trout Fishing - The Complete Troller#39;s Guide:

This book has a lot of useful information (almost too much). However, it is primarily written for boats that have the capacity to mount a downrigger. Since I intend on kayak fishing from a Hobie Adventure Island the only downrigger I could use is a 24 oz lead ball or perhaps a Luhr-Jensen deep-six. With that being said - Keating and Porter have given me a lot of good techniques to experiment with on Lake Michigan. Furthermore, they spend considerable attention in the text to fish species target specific tackle and strike zones. All in all - an impressive piece of work!
