Anglers have been using Storm ThunderSticks for years and now Storm has brought back the Original Jointed ThunderStick series. Using the same molds, components, patterns, colors and packaging, Storm is re-introducing anglers to a proven lure. Jointed ThunderSticks are minnow imitators. The injured baitfish motion of these jointed lures attract fish of all species. These lures measure 5 1-2 in length, weigh 5-8 oz., use premium VMC hooks and have a swimming depth of 2 to 4 feet.

Here in Virginia we do a load of night fishing in the summer. This bait (bleeding shad #1) is a sure thing when the shad are in the rip rap spawning. Just throw paralell to the rock shore line and slow roll it back and wait for the explosion to happen. I would recomend this to anyone who loves to catch big fish at night. This technique is so easy a beginner can do it with no issue. Just have to be willing to have some battle wounds on the trolling motor prop.

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm Original Jointed ThunderStick Lures:

The storm jointed thunderstick in the fire tiger pattern is arguably one of the most consistant catchers of Sea Bass in Irish costal waters. Many dedicated Bass fishermen have relied on the last of our original models since Storm withdrew the Thunderstick from production. Despite the abundance of "New" plugs on the market , the Thunderstick has consistantly outperformed all others under the right conditions.

Great bait for casting for salmon from shore. Doesn't dive deep and can be casted in water as shallow as a foot near river mouths.
