Comments about Southern Lure Co. Southern Lure Scum Frog Lures:
This lure is very easy to cast and the bass love it. My daughters dont fish alot and they love this one because if they get it in the tree you can get it back 9 times out of 10.

Fish throw themselves at this lure. if i had to choose between these frogs and any others offered even for free, I would pay double for a scum frog.

This is absolutely my favorite tactic for big largemouths. Gear up with a fairly long, stout rod and strong reel, a baitcaster is preferred, with at least 20# line. Cast the scum frog in and around the thickest weeds and hang on. Pick ambush points near openings in the weeds or edges of the pads. My favorite spots usually have at least two different types of weeds, such as lily pads with arrowhead plants or rushes growing in patches within them. Make sure you wait a second or two before you cross the fishes eyes with a HARD hookset!!

Be sure you have a hook remover - they really swallow this frog.

Comments about Southern Lure Co. Southern Lure Scum Frog Lures:
The popper scum frog is the best topwater frog out there. My partner throws a boze sumo or a dean rojas in the same holes with no hits. Scum frog right behind it always gets the fish up. Fish the popper version mornings and evenings in the open water for some exciting hits. Body of the frog slides up off the hook at impact to hook up just about every time. You can also stuff old worm bits in the body to add weight and cast distance. This would destroy any of the other more expensive frogs. If you're not real good at hook sharpening, these hooks can be changed easily without destroying the lure.
