This lure is very easy to use...I just jig it up and down and change how aggressive i fish it to suit the fish...Sometimes add a waxworm to the trebles. Shows up great on the sonars also.

This lure is excellent for shore casting, pier casting, on many of my favorite spots on Lake Superior here in Upper Mich. It has caught nice salmon, steelhead and browns. I have left several attached to logs and rocks so future generations can discover them while scuba diving.

I have used Kastmasters in Newfoundland (Atlantic), Illinois (Lake Michigan), and Ohio (various lakes, rivers, and streams). There is no lure that will work 10% of the time with 100% of the fish, but the Kastmaster is a good lure for casting, trolling, and jigging.

This lure is irresistible to fish. All kinds of fish. It works in deep water and can be kept close to the top for shallow fishing. The action of a wounded fish is irresistible to fish of all kinds. I used this lure extensively in Alaska and now in Tenn. and have caught fish when no one else is with my Kastmaster lures.

Of the four biggest fish I've caught, 2 have been with Kastmasters. I just caught a 25" steelhead with one and I have caught a number of good-sized walleye on it, so I am pretty high on the lure (all casting from the shoreline). In addition to its fish-catching ability, the Kastmaster casts well in windy conditions, which was why I was using it today. It also is a very durable lure. It has a great motion and typically you can toss it farther than any other lure in your tackle box.

fish points on upstream side of creeks entering rivers on river side of point. I cast straight across current and let lure sink to bottom, then retrive using a varity of speeds and even pausing from time to time, letting sink to bottom again. If stripe are not bitting the current is not running,or they are not there.Have fished this lure many years and have a drawer full at home.

I recently tried one of these when I couldn't get a bite w/my rooster tails. I could not keep the trout off it! I had the best luck with the gold/red which is not offered on this site. The other guys shore casting could not get out half as far as I could and everyone was looking at me like I had some magic lure. Everytime it hit the water I could count to about 2 and fish on! The Kastmaster has a permanent home in my tackle box.

8 years fishing the tropical reefs in Palau. We use the 1/8oz to 3oz sizes for a variety of reef fish. My 6 year old son uses the smaller sizes to spin cast for blue fin trevalley, tuna, grouper, emperor...well the lure catches a huge variety of fish. Us older folks use the 3oz for barracuda and all the others. We cast surface plugs a lot but if the fishing is slow we go to the kastmaster to make sure we have fish in the box. We change the hooks quickly as they rust in the salt.

This Lure when worked correctly will produce all kinds of species of fish. From pin fish to mackerel, from cobia to grouper I have caught it all with these lures. The blue/Chrome and Gold 3/4 oz lures work best for me.I always keep several of these on hand, especially when the mackerel are around, They just crush these lures left and right.

These lures are truelly awesome. I have used the blue/chrome and gold lures from 1/4 oz to my favorite 3/4 oz gold for over 10 years and catch many different fish with it. Have caught Pin Fish to 36" mackerel to grouper, trout, cobia, red fish and black sea bass, yes, Pin Fish (4-last week). I cry every time I lose one of my kastmaster lures. Please try this lure it really works. If lure is worked correctly it will get crushed every time by a fish. I lost 5 of them on huge mackerel last week, even using 65 lb triple fish leader.
