We consistantly catch large ling cod on these baits. Easy to use. Toss it against the rock and let it drift with the boat and tide and you get one almost every cast.

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm WildEye Swim Shad 5 and 6 Swim Baits:

WEll there is but one thing to say they catch fish and usualy they are good fish. 30lb spider wire7' 10" rod , I always use a large split ring instead of directly tying to the hook. I always use the solid body baits just like the wat they perform and for me they seem to last alot longer and stay together. When I cast them out I most generally let them sink to the bottom, especially casting over long points. Always make long cast. The retrieve well you will have to figure that out it changes but when you do , be ready. You will notice in the picture I was using mono, I learned

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm WildEye Swim Shad 5 and 6 Swim Baits:

If you are not fishing these you are really missing the boat. The only thing I have found is that fish sometimes short strike and it pulls on the tail but alittle super glue will fix it. I have actually put fish in the boat holding onto the body its self. I fish the 5 and 6 in. I only use the chartruse shad with 7ft 6" rod med heavy 30lb. spider wire let it go to the bottom then slow roll it back mostly over points and hold on it is a very ferrosuss bite or how ever you spell it. Hold on Good Luck The big baits seem to work the best.Good Fishing-- BIGFISH

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm WildEye Swim Shad 5 and 6 Swim Baits:

Storm is having terrible trouble getting product out. They have reduced ther weight of the lure, reduced the packaging to 3 per pack, and incresed the price. They have dropped some colors like rainbow and the old fire tiger. I hope they can get their act together. Coleman bought Storm about a year ago. Everything Coleman touches goes bad. A real pity.

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm WildEye Swim Shad 5 and 6 Swim Baits:

I went on a party boat, the Middlebank II in CT, with my wife and daughter...we originally were using diamond jigs to fish for bluefish with no luck...I switched our lines to use these lures and all hell broke loose...my wife reeled in a 30in bass and a blue both swallowed this 5in lure whole...me and my little girl had several hits, mostly blues who ripped off the tail of the lure. If this lure had an additional hook on tail who know how many we would have landed. I went thru 6 of these lures in 3 hrs...the fish kept ripping the tail off. All we did was drop to bottom and move left to right and they hit it.

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm WildEye Swim Shad 5 and 6 Swim Baits:

This lure is great for trolling deep haunts of the lake where the lunkers lurk. The lure is very active in the water trolled at medium speed and attracts all types of fish. I have retired two of these lures that were torn to shreds.

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm WildEye Swim Shad 5 and 6 Swim Baits:

Most people would not believe the sizes of the fish that will aggressively take this large bait. Some are not much bigger than the bait itself. Large fish will hit this bait hard and heavy so hold on. It is very effective in any threadfin or gizzard shad lakes. This is one of my first purchases from Fish USA and I am impressed with their customer attention.

Comments about Storm Lures (Rapala) Storm WildEye Swim Shad 5 and 6 Swim Baits:

This bait can be used as a swim bait near the surface as well as any depth to include bouncing it off the bottom. I have caught several 10 LB + fish with this bait. Most on the Pearl color. Its good all year round.
