Comments about Berkley Berkley Gulp! 3, 5, 8 and 10 Saltwater Squid:
My first use of the 8" squid caught me the biggest halibut of my life. Fishing out of Newport, OR in about 200' of water, my two buddies, using cut bait went fishless for hours. I had a 30" halibut, (which we released) withing minutes of the GULP Squid hitting bottom. Next fish, again on the squid was 62" and 121 pounds!
Biggest fish of my life and biggest to be brought in to the checking station that week. Needless to say, I'm sold on these. Oh, yeah, after my big fish, they switched to the GULP squid, too and we all went home with halibut that day.

[...]the color of the product was not what was represented on the website. It was very much discolored, and in fact the squid was almost entirely white, NOT the chartreuse-lime color it wsa supposed to be. I called FISHUSA and spoke to a customer service agent, who re-shipped a replacement, but that product was even more discolored. The other two products I ordered were fine, and the berekely shrimp was the correct color. I imagine there was simply something wrong with that large batch of squid - maybe it doesn't keep well in the mail? Anyways, I'd sincerely appreciate it if you could send another 5" Berkeley Gulp Squid package in a different color - preferably natural, and to check to make sure it's not discolored before shipping. Thanks,David

BERKLEY GULP SQIUD baits are fairly consistent producers esp. for saltwater bottom species. Doesn't work every time, but no bait (incl live, dead or jigs) does. I'm a believer in them.

found this to be the best flounder bait around in 3' to 10' for water without much current. Only one problem is it doesn't stay on the hook very well for casting, after 3 or 5 cast comes off.
