GULP! baits are literally better than live bait. Easier to get and store. They just flat out work. I use several styles and many different colors, drifting, casting, trolling. All Good.

Comments about Berkley Berkley Gulp! 2, 3, and 4 Saltwater Shrimp:

Use all sizes, generally depending on the bite. Often Speckled Trout in Tampa Bay will be very tentative on the bite. When that happens we move to the smaller sizes and the Trout are much more likey to take the hook. If I am using Shrimp type soft baits - I always use Gulp!

Comments about Berkley Berkley Gulp! 2, 3, and 4 Saltwater Shrimp:

I have been using the Berkley Gulp in Maryland for flounder and also in North Carolina for flounder, drum, red fish and speckle trout. Berkley Gulp has great action and the smell fish can't resist. The price of the Gulp is a little high and the smell of it can stays on your hands if you don't have anything to wipe it off with.

Comments about Berkley Berkley Gulp! 2, 3, and 4 Saltwater Shrimp:

Recently tried this on recommendation of a guide friend, and had the best fishing day in two years or more.
Used the pearl white on 1/8 - 1/4 oz. jig head, working the bottom in 10-15' in the Gulf, FL. Caught multiple trout, blues, ladyfish as well as a few spanish mackerel, small grouper and sea bass.
We tried other white plastics with some success but when things got slow on those, the gulp still worked. This is the best artificial bait I've tried, hands down. The only downside;frequently the bait tails were bitten off, & after one or two catches it was often not usable. Would prefer more durability for the price of about $1/bait. But all in all this is a winner!

If you want to catch fluke in the bay in the early summer months use a 4 inch nuclear chicken with a red lead head and sperring. If there is fish around you will catch them and everyone will watch you!

Pros:

Cons:
Size

Comments about Berkley Berkley Gulp! 2, 3, and 4 Saltwater Shrimp:

Works best in 15 feet of water jigging it right over the ground. Something i think that is great about Gulp is that it lasts a while. The one thing i don't like is that the shrimp is to big & to small sometimes for a fish.

Bottom Line:

Comments about Berkley Berkley Gulp! 2, 3, and 4 Saltwater Shrimp:

Works great on a 1/4 oz. sandcolored jig head with a 3" new penny shrimp. You may use it to catch all kinds of fish. The fish love it and you can smell it a mile away. The fish cant miss the smell so you lure the big ones in. The only thing I do not like about it is that when you put on your jig or hook your hands smell pretty bad but if your like me I choose catching fish over having bad smelling hands any day. Just have fun with it and if you have results like mine you can't not have fun.
