This is one of the best Black Crappie baits I've ever used. I've only used it ice fishing (jigging). But I will definely be trying it this spring. Put it on a 1/32 or 1/16 oz jig head. I usually start off light and work up. Most of the time they hit it on the fall. To recharge leave it on the jig head and put it back in the bottle. I usually have 3 or 4 soaking in the bottle to switch with. One draw back is the smell on your hands and sometimes the bottle leaks.

THIS PRODUCT IS IRRISTABLE TO FISH BUT IS TOO SOFT AND COMES OFF THE HOOK TOO EASILY. OTHERWISE IS A SUPER GOOD BAIT.

I used the gulp minnow jigging in 30' of water for suspended bluegills. they couldn't resist!!!!! The only downside is you only get 1-2 uses per minnow. Other than that they are great! Would highly recommend to a friend!!!

I enjoy fishing for bass, bluegill, catfish, pike, walleye, and crappie during travels from Kentucky to Texas and into Canada. I favor live baits. The trouble with them is getting good ones when you need them and keeping them alive. These baits solve all that, store them in a compact, easily transported container and they are cheaper than live bait while producing nearly as effectively. Anything I lose by substituting the artificial bait for the live is more than made up for by using the convenience of Gulp. I am definitely continuing to use this product and dropping the live baits.

A friend bought these in smelt color and did well with them catching perch through the ice. Come ice out he was catching crappie with them on an ice fishing jig under a stick bobber. I tried them hand had similar success. I fished them the same way for crappie and sometimes added a spike for a bit of extra attraction. We had great crappie fishing with them and also caught plenty of perch and big blue gills. What I like most about them is that fish eat them and they stay on the hook much longer than any live bait. The down side is that they harden on the hook when they dry. Take them off as soon as your done fishing or you will have trouble removing them later.I like this color so much I'm trying it in the 3 inch for larger game fish.

I used the 1" Gulp minnow on a #12 gold aberdeen hook as a drop shot rig. I used the Gulp minnow as the main hook and a Marmooska with just the tail of a 1" Gulp fry. The Gulp minnow produced both Bluegills and Crappie. You won't believe how real these look. Smelt color looks just like a Perch/Speck minnow. I kept 18 fish that day and well over 1/2 came on the minnow.

works Well on a dropshot rig for finicky winter panfish. i have noticed that even though product is suspended in juice, some of the baits have kinks and don't hang straight much like bagged soft baits.

quicker than always buying live bait. Better than live because they do not die on you.

Caught 6.5 lb channel cat and several 2 to 3 lb black bass and a lot of slab crappies on this and I will purchase bigger size next time I order, so I can catch bigger fish. Great product and cheaper than buying live bait.

After using and watching my fishing partner use the one inch Gulp Alive pearl watermelon minnow, I am impressed. Crappies and Bluegills ate them like cotton candy.
Eager to try them ice fishing. Probably will use a 1/64 oz head.

I recently used these for crappie fishing. I could not believe how the fish tore up these things. Not only did I catch crappie, but tons of bluegill, perch and bass, too. I now have every color and dumped all jars into a waterproof, tupperware-type of container. No need to buy minnows anymore!!
