These are the best for walleye and perch. I use #5's with a half of a minnow on the treble hook. Don't ask me why a half but I almost never catch fish with a whole minnow on it. Make sure you bounce it off the bottom once in a while.

There is a saying I once heard "author unknown" but it went something like "to catch big fish use big bait" ... Also the reason why big bass grow even bigger is because their eyesight improves with age ... so must a lure if it is to catch them. Realism and making them just can't refuse it brings 'em in. To me the ultimate lure Rapala could make would be a four inch, 3/4 ounce, 0/2 hooks in a bright red shiney color, digital enhanced graphics, and the real kicker ... changes colors depending on the color of the water and depth. Please, Please let me be an evaluator for that one if the designers can even make such a one. Would love to hear Rapala's feedback on this one. Also, since I have your ear, if Rapala could come up with a lure that would ballast at certain depths. Lets say 60 feet or 30 feet ... each lure could have it's own depth and they could sell more that way too. However I'm not done yet ... based on a tiny battery inside the lure a device could make the lure move very slowly at that depth, enhanced by the movement of the rod. I also once read "unknown author" that a guy in south had an ability to fish so slow it would make you mad. However ... he caught more fish than anyone else ... so crazy erratic movement is not always the answer ... however fish are like birds ... their patterns and what one day that like and the next they don't. Actually I like my suggestions so well ...I'm going to send this off to Rapala as well. It's like sometimes the light just comes on and for me ... not very often. these are excellent jigs for just about any species of fish. You need to keep a tight line while jigging it to get te proper action of it swiming around the hole but it definately attracts fish and they eat it. The only con to this jig is when the fish are a little bit slugish i think this thing swims too fast for them i was using it to attract fish to my hole but sometimes they couldent get it in there mouth, i would then drop down a small hair jig that i could jig in one place and they would eat it. All around an excellent jig for ice fihing.

I don't go any where with out a rapala jiggn rap. I use them ice fishing, open water jigging, casting, trolling! The circular movement is great while jiggn and the vibration is aewsome while castn or trolling. I have caught almost every species on them here in Colorado, perch, crappie, bass, walleye, and trout.

Used the #7 this summer just moved slowly with electric trolling motor.would touch bottom then rapidly lift up then repeat. do not drag bottom keep a lure retriever with you for snags. Caught lots of keeper walleye this summer.when I was first showed this trick I though the guy was nuts I am now a believer

I use these jigs throughout the year. I have caught Walleye, Smallmouth, Largemouth and Brim ranging from 15' to 80' deep. I have never used them for ice fishing because our lakes don't freeze here in North Carolina but they work great on suspending fish.

Bought this product for ice fishing walleye on the Saginaw River in Michigan. Watched video on YouTube on how to effectively use the lure and it was right on. Stinger on the belly treble rigged w/minnow works real well.

I have to say i love these lures. I mainly use them walleye fishin through the ice and have caught more fish on them than any other lure. It works very well for other fish as well. Some times you have to put on a larger treble hook for the bottom so you dont lose to many fish but other then that they are great!!!

Use them up in Canada ice fishing. Drop the lure all they way down to the bottom, count to three, then raise it up about 18 inches and let it swim back to the bottom. Strikes usually occur on the lift up. Great for a variety of fish. Only problem is the treble hook in the middle is too small, causing lost fish. To remedy I remove that hook and replace it with a larger one.

These jigs were recommended to me by North Carolina walleye fishermen. They will catch fish and perform just as advertised. They are great for vertical jigging on suspended fish. Very good action when jigged slowly.

I suspend this lure about 18 inches off the bottom with a minow head on the center hook for walleyes while ice fishing. A little up and down motion helps.

This is the most incredible lure I have ever used for white and striped bass fishing. I fish Norfork Lake In Arkansas and use the blue and chrome for a week straight and don't change it, unless the paint is removed from all the hits. Very simple to use, just drop it to the bottom real up 6 to 12 inches from the bottom and jig hard about every 15 seconds and hold on tight. NOTE: use only in open flats, not good for Crappie piles but will catch any fish on the bottom of the lake..

I use this rig every spring and winter it's great for walleye, I use iit in jigging mostly.I have caught all kinds of fish with this lure but make sure you have a net because if you don't you will lose as many fish as you catch.

walleye and white bass seemed to like the #3 in orange/red and firetiger thru the ice. I will walk the shore line with these jigs a 12ft pole and pencil bobber and jigg for crappie in some timber in early march

This is a classic Rapala lure that I use for walleyes through the ice. Just drop it to the bottom, count to 3 then lift it up about 18" and let it drift down. The HIT comes when you're lifting it up.

Drop to bottom and crank up 2 cranks and jig slowly. They swim in a circle and drives fish wild. But they have too small of hook on bottom so we change them.
