Mini Foo jigs are very popular for all jigging situations. These are the same as the steelheader mini foo jig with a painted lead-head jig but these have a feather with tinsel interwoven to make the tail. These jigs are usually fished under a float, often with a grub or egg, and are very effective on steelhead and other species.

I used these jigs for trout and caught a nice rainbow on the first cast. Can't beat that.

I have using Mini Foo jigs for better than 10 years and they always produce steelhead.
I perfer the 1/64 oz. jig for steelhead in northeast Ohio.
I haven't found a better one

White flash works great in the winter on steelhead
