Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
Ive caught about every kind of freshwater fish imaginable on these things, especially bass. I use them in small creeks/rivers in the south (Alabama) - the BEST bait in my tackle box hands down. Universal bait for any time of year/water/weather/-- GET IT!

I can not say enough about the Trout Worms. When they stop with real worms the don't on these.
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
Sometimes hard to get on the hook because my hands are stiff, and the worm is soft. But once there I sometimes catch several fish on the same worm.

THEY WORK GREAT WHEN DRIFT FISHING STEELHEADS
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
I used to fish a lot of wax worms but i have pretty much become an exclusive user of trout worms. My son and myself just kill them on these. We have found pink shad to eb the most effective by far

I catch a lot of Trout, both large and small using power worms.

I use this item fly fishing here on the central california coast winter steelhead season. It is much more effective than chenille for a worm imitation. Don't have to deal with storing and the smell of roe. Hook the fish in the corner of the jaw instead of gut hooking the fish.

These little guys are great. As soon as you cast out, you're reeling in! And the best part is they can be used over and over. The first one we tried was a used one we found on the side of the lake. We caught 11 trout between the three of us! All weighing between 1 to 2-1/2lbs. My husbands only negative comment was that he didn't get to sit down for very long.
Caught on PowerBait Trout Worms! Green/Chartreuse

If I go trout fishing, this is the bait to must have in my vest. The bubble gum out-fishes any color. Pink shad would be next and then cheese onto the white. If you want to make all fly fishermen so mad that they cannot see straight, put one of these on and start reeling in the trout one after another. You will not regret having this one in your tackle box or fishing vest. I use this on a size 12 or 14 thin gauge snell hook with a no. sp7 split shot (depending on the water current) about 12-18 inches above. It is just amazing how this worm works! Try wacky worm set-up too, it works just as well.

Stream fishing for steelies in the NE can be tough on tackle - lots of rocks that bang your terminal tackle around pretty good; these Berkley Power Bait worms were pretty tough! And (inexplicably) the steelhead were really turned on to them for about two weeks. Who would think steelhead would have a sweet tooth for bubblegum?
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
My best luck with Trout and sunfish----mild luck with large mouth bass.
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
product was useful for about 1 fish per worm- but hey- steelhead aren't gentle either- rigged wacky style has good action.

This stuff works better than expected. It adds another dimension to trout fishing as well other panfish.

Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
They need to come in packs of 50 or 100.....the 10 pack is just not enough........a friend and I went through a pack in about 2 hours of trout fishing.....
They work well for trout, gills, bass...etc...anything that will eat a worm, will eat these
These do work wonders on Rainbow trout......if you live near any Special regulation Streams that allow artificial lures / baits.....these are the ticket....I am an avid fly fisher, but I have used these worms in the dead of winter with great results....

Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
The 3 inch trout worms work great. I have been using them in an artifcal only stretch where the fly fisherman usually catch the fish. They have been coming up to me asking me what I'm using because my son and I are out fishing them by a long shot.
Pink seems to be by far the best color, pick up a few on bubblegum and cheese but the other 6-7 colors we have tried have had poor results. The one morning I got 12 rainbows in about 75 minutes until i ran out of pink then only got 3 rainbows in next 3-4 hours.

its very easy to use these worms they are so life like just cast them in a stream or river an let them drift naturally you also need a 1/32 bullet weight on first then a bb size clamp on sinker set about 14 inches above a #8 baitholder hook eagleclaw preferably then hook the worm thru the head about 3/16 an leave the point end out to increase hook ups ive caught so many fish with these worms i could wallpaper my bedroom with the pictures put one on an have the time of your life perfect for kids an wives to fish to good luck

Whacky rig, 4 pound test or less, small split 18" above. A strike indicator or float also works well in bigger rivers. Rainbows and Steelhead love them.

Trout fishing,reuseable and it floats

perfect under a float!
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
The color is the biggest secret. Once you find the color the steelhead are biting you have a biting frenzy. I find that both the bubblegum and the white colors have worked the best this year. Last year the green worked very well.

Cons: After a few fish you will need to put a new one on.
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
Fished against the current on the bottom or near the bottom, these worms often catch trout when other baits fail to even get a nibble.

Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
Good alternative to powerbait, also because you can set the hook, and can catch and release more effectively. I fish it "wacky style" on a size 8 or 10 baithook in the middle of the worm with a small weight 18 inches up, slowly reeling it along the bottom allowing the 2 ends of the worm to float and move. Sometimes cutting the worms at 4 inches or so I find can attract bigger fish.
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
Stockie trout and steelhead alike fall for these.
Comments about Berkley Berkley PowerBait 3 Trout Worms:
these work great for spring steelhead under a float
