Troutbeads are a proven lure and are great choice for salmon, steelhead and trout fished with fly, float or spinning gear. These lures were first used in Alaskan rivers and streams and are now popular for use around the Great Lakes. Troutbeads are good Glo Bug alternatives and can be used in any situation were you would fish an egg imitation, single egg or spawn sack. These beads are also used by walleye and bass anglers for spinner and lure building.

These are a great product, its impressive that when conditions are tough these will outproduce other baits, including some live baits. When the waters normal or clear steel seem to love these beads. 8mm is my favorite size.

Comments about Troutbeads:

Gotta love these beads. Apricot is a dead ringer for a dead egg impression and caramel is a perfect live egg color. I can't tell the difference between real egg or the trout bead and neither can the steelies.

Comments about Troutbeads:

If you want consistant 50+ fish days, buy yourself some trout beads. Glo Roe in 8mm for Fall and Winter trout that are in streams with salmon runs. The 6mm Glo Roe is perfect for Spring time or whenever brown trout and steelhead are spawning. That is it! Two sizes of one color. Place a hook or fly 4"-7" below the bead and hang on. Fishing IS catching when using trout beads.

Comments about Troutbeads:

These trout beads really work great. The 6mm is almost identical to the real trout eggs. Just tie one an inch above a small hook and hold on! Kind of difficult to tie on because of the size but they work, the trout just suck this thing right up. very inexpensive, multiple colors for whatever condition you're fishing in.
