Comments about Redwing Tackle Blackbird Swivels by Redwing Tackle:

These swivels are my top choice for river fishing steelhead and salmon, very small but very strong. I have never had one fail, up to 30 lb salmon on 12 lb test line. They are also good for all around trout fishing, or anywhere that you need a low profile swivel.

Pros:
Easy To Store
Cons:
Poor Construction
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Redwing Tackle Blackbird Swivels by Redwing Tackle:

Have had problems with breakage. Primarily with snags, but did have one come apart when playing fish. Very small size and hard to handle with cold fingers or with dusk approaching. Too bad they do not market the one size larger.

micro swivel review
By ChromechaserVerified Purchaser from Sault Ste. Marie, MI on 11/11/2009
Pros:
Easy To Store, Good For Variety Of Fish, Stealthy, Strong
Best Uses:
float fishing, Fresh Water, Ice Fishing, Jigging
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Redwing Tackle Blackbird Swivels by Redwing Tackle:

I use these swivels when connecting main line to my leader while I am float fishing for salmon/steelhead or whatever. Anyone who fishes steelhead in clear water knows that the stealthy you are the more fish you will catch. These swivels are the smallest I have found and have never once been the cause of a lost fish for me, and that includes some very large salmon. I will never tie a mono to mono knot again as long as these swivels are around.

Excellent little swivels!
By wcpespVerified Purchaser from Northern Michigan on 2/4/2009
Pros:
Dont spook fish, Improves rig management
Best Uses:
Connecting leaders, Terminating spreader rigs
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Redwing Tackle Blackbird Swivels by Redwing Tackle:

These tiny swivels are perfect for the top of spreader rigs and for connecting leaders to mainline. They are very small and black, probably go completely unnoticed by fish. I would use a larger swivel for line-twist prevention, these are best used for line terminations and transitions.
