I've been ice fishing for about 25 years, I like the braided line for use on tip ups. Used it for Bass. Northern Pike, Walleye, and Trout to name a few. Stays limber in the cold and sure is easy to see the black line in the white snow! This is the first time I used this line. I purchased two spools. The first spool had frays in the line about every 10 feet, The other spool had no frays. I did put the one spool on my tip up and tossed the other in the garbage. I ice fished twice with the line and it performed fine. All in all, for the price I would try it again.
frays on new spool every 8-10 feet.

works great for the price. make sure to moisten the knot before tightening. tends to fray at the knot end so remeber to check the knot before fishing.

Some times I like to look down the ice hole and site fish for pan fish,I use a 18" leader and a barrel swivel to conect them. I also put a split ring with a #8 trebel hook on the upper part of the swivel for the ones that try to eat the swivel.
