When fishing in about fifty foot of water I use Fireline, Micro Ice,a swivel,and 2 foot of Trilene XL for a leader. This gives me great hook set's in deep water. I find it easy to see on the ice and works well in shallow water too.

I like to use this line when looking for perch in deep water.But my pull over ice hut,roof hight is the reason I like this product . I do not have to pull up so far, becouse there is no line strech,making it easier to set the hook. I use a split shot or two above the lure or use a lead swim jig to keep any line memory out while breaking in new line.

I mainly use this for beading but my family uses it for fishing. We all love how easy and strong it is to use and the price is right!

I've used Fireline in both salt and freshwater. For knot strength and feel, there's nothing that compares when jigging.
