Cortland slip-on leader loops are the ideal way of connecting your leader to fly line. The strong, permanent loop on the connector can then be used to make a loop-to-loop connection with your leaders. We offer these leader loops in both 30 pound test, which are designed for use on 2 to 7 weight fly lines, and 50 pound test, which are designed for use on 8 to 15 weight fly lines.

Comments about Cortland Cortland Slip-On Leader Loops:
This connector consistently floats (not always) which is a vast improvement over my previous connector. I used heat from a 250 Watt bulb to shrink the heat shrink tube. I rotated the heat shrink next to the bulb. Hot water did not work for me. It definitely weighs more than my previous connector so in turn I adjusted my casting. If you want a light touch in casting it can be a factor.
