Seaguar Grand Max is the best fluorocarbon leader material on the market. It is not surprising that the world#39;s largest maker of fluorocarbon fishing lines and leaders, and the company that invented fluorocarbon, would introduce the world#39;s strongest fluorocarbon. In a side-by-side tensile strength comparison, Seaguar Grand Max tested up to twice as strong as other leading brands.

Use a triple surgeon knot to attach tippet to tapered mono leader at least one "X" above the weight of the fluorocarbon. Lubricate before tightening.

Thinner, stronger, more abrasion resistant than others of it's kind. Steelhead don't stand a chance. It's a little pricey but you're getting what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and get this stuff.

By LubidoVerified Purchaser from Arnesano (LE) ITALY on 5/11/2008
Pros:
Fish Don't Escape, Irresistible to Fish
Best Uses:
Salt Water
Describe Yourself:

Comments about Seaguar Seaguar Grand Max Fluorocarbon:

I use this line in salt water and I think there is not a better fluorocarbon on the market. Don't look just on the streight written on the cover. I had much lines which "should" be even stronger but I tried with a dynamometer and G MAX is about twice stronger!!

The only Fluorocarbon tippet I buy!
By TroutcrazeVerified Purchaser from Bedford, PA on 2/25/2008
Pros:
Less visable to fish, Super Strong
Best Uses:
Good in any water
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Seaguar Seaguar Grand Max Fluorocarbon:

You can get away with a larger diameter than other tippet materials. I use 1X for Salmon, 2X for Steelhead and 4X for regular trout fishing. I have straightened Tiemco 2457 hooks many timed when pulling hard to get un-snagged, this is no lie!

Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, Trolling
Describe Yourself:

Comments about Seaguar Seaguar Grand Max Fluorocarbon:

I stopped using all other leaders. This stuff is more costly but the thinnest available and invisible to fish. I catch more with Grand Max so I am not going to use anything else. The knots hold up very well.
