Seaguar is the only tippet I use. Nothing works better in the winter time. It's knot strength is superior and it does not lose strength in extreme cold.

Do not use this with a Mono leader unless the leader is 1 or 2 sizes bigger than the tippet your tying on. Seaguar is stronger than mono and will cut right through it with most knots.

Seaguar is usually 10%-20% stronger that other Fluorocarbon tippets of the same size.

This tippet does have a shiny finish to it and in bright sunny days it will reflect light spooking fish (but so do all tippets). Rubbing it in a little dirt/sand will fix this.

That being said, it is completely invisible in the water during over cast/cloudy days!

I have used a variety of brands over the years. Some were decent, others were garbage. This is the first tippet I have used without any problems whatsoever -- knots tie clean, strength is best I've used, and line maintains flexibility in icy water.

Used this for trout steelhead and salmon fishing. You have to take you time tightening knots and lubricate them generously, but once tied they don't let go. If you use flourocarbon, this is a top product.
