Always thought making your own tapered leaders was time consuming and wouldn't be as strong as a
manufactured tapered leader. I was wrong in both cases. With this material and a blood knot tool,
it doesn't get any easier. Will end up saving well over a $150.00 making my own and produce twice as many with this material. I can change
tippet strenghts as needed right on the stream.

The line has a great color ,but seems to lack the strength of other 5x tippet material, such as the "RIO POWERFLEX" wich has a 5LB test, compared to a 3LB test.

I purchased the Maxima Tippet Material to fish for salmon and brown trout in Ultra Green. Last year I could see the fish were moving away from the Maxima chameleom, line shy, so I changed to the clearer maxima to eliminate the possiblilty. It works very well on trout, thus far.

I tie all my leaders with Maxima. I don't know of any other material that is easier to use,or has the
right amount of stiffness to turn over my flys in
a strong wind.From the flats in Biscayne Bay to the many S. Florida canals that I fish. Maxima gets the job done.
