Used on trip to Gulf of Mexico. Spent way too much time unraveling "wind knots" or "birdsnests" when casting shrimp or pinfish under a float for shallow water sea trout and redfish. May be better suited to other uses such as trolling or free-lining.

I bought this at a going-out-of-budiness sale. I thought it looked dumb so it went on a backup rod. I tried it and I REALLY liked it. It's great for line counting since the stripes are 2.5 feet long. It's easy to see in the water, but not next to the lure. I'm pulling lines off of my other reals and putting it on now.

Nice to catch very big luce and also easy to handle. I need the Berkley Fireline Tracer Braid in Switzerland. I fished with this line in lakes and rivers. It is the best line i ever bought. Very strong and good color combination.

The 30lb Fireline Tracer I'm using, has performed flawlessly so far. its very round and smooth.
It gives me extra distance on my cast, even using 1/4 0z spinners.
A plus for me is how quietly it moves over the guides. It still makes a little noise but nothing like most braids, which sound like they are filing my guides in two.
I splice 10'of mono or floracarbon onto the end when I need stealth. Using the uniknot, I have not had a knot failure yet. all breaks have come in the leader an inch or two below the knot.
I can't comment on long term wear and tear or fading yet. I'll post agian at the end of the season.
Iv'e looked up actual break teat and this line is way over spec's.

ps: I would have given it a 5 but I've never seen the perfect line.
