Switched to these for steelhead and trout awhile ago, and they do very well. Haven't had any problems of them bending, and I think the hooks being black and thinner helps avoid spooking fish.

Really not the best hook on the market, hooks do snap .. but will haul in guge fish with care.. the trade off is a stealthy thin wired low visibilty egg hook for those trout that are line shy, you know the easily spooked trout?.. these hooks will do the trick.

Saw some estaz eggs tied on this hook, looked deadly. I like to fish tube flies, and it hit me that this hook might be great for tubes, except for the "up" eye. So I straightened the eyes on a couple- very easy. Awesome! Very sharp fine wire hooks, they really penetrate and hold a hooked fish. Definitely my favorite tube fly hook.

These are hands down the best trout and steelhead hooks on the market. They're sticky sharp and even size 14 will hold up to the biggest steelhead.
