It is a well made tip up that could be used for muskie and pike with a dead bait but when a large live bait is used it is difficult to keep the bait from tripping the flag. A simple drag would have been nice at this price point!

I got this product from my dad. They are mine now and still are perfect . They are 35-40 years old. I love these things. They arn't for really thick ice though(more than 1')

Ive used this product for 15 years
still using the same 5 tip ups that i started with. I fish every weekend and have enjoyed this product.they are durable with a little care.A bit on the light side for big game fish even though ive taken fish in the 10-15lbs class with this set up.Would recommend this product to every one starting out and on a bugget.
