A little cold blooded, but reliable. A tank of gas lasts all year (really!)Wieght is an issue due to back problems, quite powerful for wieght and size, very expensive replaceent blades, pricey unit.

Comments about StrikeMaster StrikeMaster Strike-Lite II 4-Cycle Power Ice AugerOff:

Works as advertised. Had alot of comments on how light it was which was one of the primary reasons I bought it. My first weekend out using was in 15 to 20 below weather and it started with less than five pulls and less for the restarts afterward. The only issue I have had with it is the ice build up and figuring out the technique that works the best at keeping it clear.

Comments about StrikeMaster StrikeMaster Strike-Lite II 4-Cycle Power Ice AugerOff:

Third year with this unit and it has treated me well. The only problem was that the carb mounting screws worked loose and I had to tighten them. The Robin engine (which I believe is Suburu) fires on the first or second pull. The engine is quiet, minimal exhaust and sips gas and the lite weight makes drilling alot of holes easy.My only gripe would be the price tag.[$] is alot of money for an auger.
