With an off set handle you use both arms to drill through the ice instead of using one arm to center and one arm to drill as with in line handles. This technique is very popular with European and Canadian ice anglers and once mastered it can cut drilling times in half.

Mine came with black grip handles, just like the lazer. Great quality like the lazer, not the mora. Takes a little getting use to, but I can see the advantage.
