Just make sure that you buy the right one. Light is really light. I bought a light and a medium. Should have gotten a medium and either a med heavy or just a heavy.

This is by far the best spring bobber I have used. So sensitive and durable. Can be adjusted in seconds, depending on the weight of your jig.

I used to use spring bobbers on all of my rods. I saw this being discussed on a forum and how people are modifying their rods to use them. I figured I would try them and now all of my rods have them. I like the fact that you can change them without cutting your line as long as it is a swivel for jigging spoons and lures or small panfish jigs. I would definately tell people to do this to their existing rods so they don't have to shell out 50 dollars for a St Croix Elite.

These indicators, which are available fully installed on the St. Croix Legend, are the best I've ever used. They do not freeze up at all, and with the choice between super light to heavy (I use the medium, the pink one), they show even the super light biters. I love the legend series, but I buy the indicators, buy the rod eyelet replacement that fits, and a rubber grommett, and I epoxy them to whatever rod I want to, it's much cheaper than the $50 legend rod, that has no reel. I'd never even consider using another indicator, as I've tried every one on the market.

This spring is great because of the ability to adjust sensitivity by adujusting the length of the spring through the grommet. This allows you to match the action with the weight of the jig/lure.

The St Croix Super Finesse springs are the best constructed indicators on the market. If you own a Legend Ice rod changing the spring to accomodate different weight jigs is very easy. For panfishing I prefer the light spring. Any tap will move the spring down. If the fish just mouths the jig the spring will lift up.
If you are going to purchase a spring indicator to put on a pole that does not have the built in grommet, you will have to rig something up.

I have used many spring bobber and the ones that st croix puts out are the best that I have ever used. No way you can miss a bite with these. Easy to rig up you rod for the setup if you dont have a st croix rod. Just use a #8 guide and a 1/8 inch groumet and have that wraped to you rod and you are all set.

They are a little pricey but worth the money. These will sense the slightest movement and help you nail those lite biters.And they are inner- changeable between rods with ease.

Best Spring Bobber around. I have these spring bobbers on all my jigging rods. They are made for the legen rod but can be attached to any rod with a simple eyelet and rubber grommet.

I don't jig without one!

Excellent Product. Best Spring Bobber I have used. I use light for small jigs for panfish, and medium for larger jigs for perch.

If you use tungsten jigs make sure to purchase medium action.

I like this spring bobber because of it's adjustability and it doesn't freeze up as bad as some others.Works great on crappie and bluegills when the come up and take a jig. Can be adjusted to raise up on those kind of bites.
I also put my own eye guide and grommet on existing rods.

I have been using the St. Croix Spring indicator for the last couple of season's and for finesse vertical fishing there is no other product that compares. For ice fishing these indicators show those light biters very well and also these are very easy to setup and use.

They work great for small jigs.

This spring is made for the Legend Series by St. Croix. I guess you could rig it on a different rod but it works best on the Legend. My Legend rod came with the pink(medium) spring. It works perfect with small teardrop jigs for bluegill. To adjust the spring simply slide it in or out, very simple. For a jig with some weight to it I would recommend the heaviest spring. I caught a bluegill that was only two inches long and if I did not have the spring, such light bites would go without notice. I am going to try it on some walleyes this weekend at L. of the Woods.

I purchased this(orange)indicator to use as a tip I broke off my favoite jigging pole. However after a flawless installation, a 1/16 jig head bent over the spring. My bad. Might try Medium Heavy. Great product, wrong use.
