Schooley#39;s spring bobber ice fishing rod and accessories. This is a great package for light ice fishing. It includes a Schooley#39;s spring bobber pole in either a 21, 26 or 40 length, a jig pole reel with an adjustable drag, pre-spooled with line, a reel line marker pin, a rod stand and even an ice fishing jig. The reel may be either red, yellow or green in color. The 26 and 40 rods are a bit stiffer than the 21 rod, but all are designed for panfish.

Comments about Schooley's Schooley#39;s Spring Bobber Pole, Reel and AccessoriesOff:

This is a great pole for kids and adults. During a light bite the spring bobber is excellent for detecting those fussy fish which makes it easier and more successful for the kids to catch fish and have fun doing so. It's also tough enough to handle anything the kids can dish out and it's very easy for them to use.

I wanted a spring bobber to add to my rod tip at times. Mainly for light biting crappie. One of my rods the clip didnt fit through the guide. So I had to twist the spring with pliers and mount it upside down.I carry small zip ties & put one around the clip to cinch it.It definatly improved my catching.

We purchased these for our boys. They are 4, 5, and 9, We have not had a tangled line yet as we use the tip-up line for these poles. I also love them as the energy level is extreme pulling up a fish by hand rather then using a reel! We will be purchasing many more in the future!

wish i would have known about these years ago. great rig for ice fishing. just need to be careful with the "spring bobber". can't just throw a bunch of them in your bucket with your other gear. there is also an optional attachable rod holder that i have not made my mind up about whether it is good or not. takes up more room to store and transport. everyone should have several.

Comments about Schooley's Schooley#39;s Spring Bobber Pole, Reel and AccessoriesOff:

I have always enjoyed ice-fishing, but I never made an investment in a lot of gear because I live at the southern fringe of dependable ice-fishing. But the last two years we've had good ice, for at least a few weeks and I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. I bought Schooley's spring-bobber rods because they were inexpensive and appeared simple to use, for someone who was not skilled at ice fishing. My guess proved right. These rods are easy for anyone to use, but they are all you need to catch sunfish, crappie and perch. I don't feel the need to get anything more sophisticated. Sometimes, simplicity is the best approach. Thanks for a good product.

I fish in a canal and fish the top 4 feet. I constantly jig up and down that 4 feet. Without the spring bobber action it would be hard to fool the big gills. Awesome ice rods.

Comments about Schooley's Schooley#39;s Spring Bobber Pole, Reel and AccessoriesOff:

I have much more expensive rods and reels for ice fishing, but for pan fish, these rods are perfect. The smallest lift or drop is signaled and the reel is simple, yet effective to bring in the fish. This combo will be hard to beat for the price. I have used them for many years and highly recommend them.
