Used the perch pattern (5/16 oz) to catch rainbows this fall in a lake where perch fry are the primary forage fish. Just cast, let it fall, and retrieve slowly with an occasional pause and reel motion. The lure wobbles as it falls and will wobble as it is reeled in..acts almost like a spoon..Was impressed that an "ice-jig" worked when cast from shore and retrieved like a spoon.

We use them for smelt through the ice. Use it as the bottom hook with a string of 3 small #14 hooks tied on above it all tipped with spikes or wax worms. We are slamming the smelt as fast as we can get the hooks in the water sometimes two and three at a time. They hit the hali just as much as the other hooks.

This lure works great.I rarely change to another. It triggers bites even when fish are not biting.I catch so many fish on this lure that the hooks break but you can buy replacement chains and hooks.I highly recomend this lure.
