ice fishing , like the slender minnow shape , don't like that there is only 1 dropper chain , breaks if a Walleye of any size grabs it ,or doesn't hook up , because hook is so small , hook gets swallowed , by perch and takes too long to get it back or it breaks or gets bent too hell.

Went ice fishing last weekend and most of fish caught were on Hali jigs. These included perch,crappie and bluegill in 20 feet of water. Heavy enough to be able to feel light bites in deep water. I need to buy a few more!

I keep finding new ways to use these jigs.Besides tipping with spikes or waxies I found using with small minnows can be deadly on large perch,bass and walleye.

I used the hali jigs ice fishing for perch. While other applications were not working that well the hali jig continued to attract bites on a very tough bite.

Jigs themselves are great but I'd never drop one in a hole without changing the hook...they are the weakest hook I've ever seen. I can bend with my hand.

Good jig but dont expect the glow to glow. I guess you could put your own glow on it BUT the other brands have come a long way in glow technology.

These jigs are my old stand-by.
Tipping the 35's in perch finish with jarred waxies(can't mention brand name),in either a pink or chartreuse almost always produces fish.Perch eyeballs also show up on these jigs for a change when fish get picky.
Hali jigs, I don't leave home without em.....

These jigs are the best I've found for ice fishing for perch. I don't know what it is about the dangling chain on this bait, but the perch can't leave it alone. My only complaint is that the chain isn't as strong as it could be. After lifting one large perch from the hole, the chain broke in half. But, you can buy replacements for them. They do catch fish though.

Great lure for ice fishing, They seem to do great for perch and trout. The only thing that I don't like about them are the hooks that they come with. They are very weak. I carefully switch them out for a #12 Gamakatsu baitholder hook and the lure works great.

Used the perch pattern (5/16 oz) to catch rainbows this fall in a lake where perch fry are the primary forage fish. Just cast, let it fall, and retrieve slowly with an occasional pause and reel motion. The lure wobbles as it falls and will wobble as it is reeled in..acts almost like a spoon..Was impressed that an "ice-jig" worked when cast from shore and retrieved like a spoon.

We use them for smelt through the ice. Use it as the bottom hook with a string of 3 small #14 hooks tied on above it all tipped with spikes or wax worms. We are slamming the smelt as fast as we can get the hooks in the water sometimes two and three at a time. They hit the hali just as much as the other hooks.

This lure works great.I rarely change to another.It triggers bites even when fish are not biting.I catch so many fish on this lure that the hooks break but you can buy replacement chains and hooks.I highly recomend this lure.
