HT Enterprises Polar Picks are ice safety devices that could save your life. The two five inch florescent orange handle picks are connected with a black plastic-covered cord. The Polar pics are designed to be rested over your shoulders with the cord resting on the backside of your neck. The pics are used if you should happen to break through the ice. You use the picks to dig into the ice and pull yourself out of the freezing water.

Went through the ice alone. Grabbed this tool immediately and was able to pull myself out. To aid functionality I tied a line clipper, whistle and a rescue mirror on the cord also. If I'm on the Ice it's around my neck. Period.

The only thing that would make this product better is a bit longer cord connecting the picks. They hang around the neck well, but fall off easily because of how short it is. Glad I haven't needed them yet, but it's a good product in case of a bad accident.
