Just starting out fly fishing. What a great product at a great price. My friend (20 year veteran of fly fishing) who introduced to the sport couldn't believe the quality of the product, especially at this price point. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great entry level outfit. I'll be passing this outfit down to my son and I'm already looking at the Red Fly 2 series as an upgrade for me.

Ive been fishing with a baitcaster reel for many years and decided to pick up a fly fishing outfit I have only had it for about 3 days but every day I get better. This thing casts smooth and its easy to use. While I was at the store I compared to the more high dollar rods and they looks pretty much the same just a fancy cork and color. The reel gets the job done its all plastic but its thick and tough it will last, of course high dollar ones are mostly metal. Its a great way to start fly fishing. The fact that it comes pre loaded with string was great for me cause im used to only using 1 string in fly fishing you have 3 or 4 on your reel at once. Oh and straight out of the box i tied a fly on on my second cast (which wasnt that far) i cought my first fish fly fishing ive caught 7 so far.

I have used it probably two times a week since I got it. I have another new light action fly rod but I am using this one more than the other. I caught a legal bass on it and had a ball. The size limit is 15 inches here. I really are not experenced enough in fly fishing to say anything except I really am enjoying this outfit.
