Estaz chenille is a popular translucent chenille used for a variety of fly patterns, including Estaz Eggs, streamers and wooly buggers. We offer Estaz Chenille in ten colors and two sizes, Regular and the larger Grande size. The opalescent is more translucent than the standard colors, although both are shiny. Estaz chenille comes in a bag containing approximately three feet of material.

I have been fishing for steelhead for 25 years on the Salmon River in New York and Estaz chenille has been used on all the flies that I have tied with great success.

The variety of colors are excellent for egg patterns.I have caught many fish using this product.Regular size works the best for egg patterns,grande seems to be a bit to large.

I personally tie most of my steelhead patterns with estaz. Nymphs Streamers and eggs all benefit from the reflective properties of this material. It is very easy to work with, I have taught 5 year olds how to tie with it. No improvements are needed to this product. If you do not have estaz enhanced flies in your Great Lakes Steelhead box you are missing fish. It also works great for tarpon, snook and bonefish flies.

Good product, at a good price. I've used it for everything from nymphs to streamers. Especially streamers. It certainly catches fish.
