I use it lake for bream and bass. I caught a 8 lb.large mouth useing one of these two years ago.

unfortunately I had to return my Martin reel, it would not take in line out of the box. I have two others and at this time have had only one problem with them. Again, my wifes reel would not take in line, somehow I got it working. After calling Fish USA they replaced the Martin with a Pflueger automatic, so we will see how that works.Upon calling Martin I was told that the 2009 models have been modified.

I enjoy not having to hand crank in the line every time you want to move down stream once you are use to the automatic system. No line tangle in brush and in my case getting line caught under my feet or wrapped around limbs while moving. The only negative I have about the reel is the clicker, I would like to be able to turn it off.
