The Big Jon Planer Mast Pedestal Seat Mount attaches to the bottom of the Big Jon Planer Rigger Masts. This mount adapts to fit into Springfield type taper-lock pedestal seat bases. The Big Jon Planer Mast Pedestal Seat Mount allows you to use your existing seat bases instead of using a permanent mount for your planer mast. This design is great for boats with minimal usable space. It also makes removal easy for travel and storage.

If you fish with a planer, especailly from a small boat, this is a very convenient way to mount the planer mast. It keeps you from having the mast mount in the way, or where you could trip over it, when the planer is not in use. I have not had any problems with this product. I use my planer mast to tow a pair of ski planers in saltwater and was originally concerned about the strength of the mount. After using the mount for several days, I am satisfied that this is not going to be a problem.
