Quality mast construction, and the otter boats work great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the mounting base for the mast needs to be screwed down to the deck, and gets in the way when the mast is not being used (it's about 6" high). They do offer a tab lock base option to mount into a seat base, but that requires extra expense, and drilling a rather large base to the deck which in my case, would serve no other pourpose. I would like to see Big Jon offer a non - obtrusive flat base threaded for thumb screws. All in all though... a good quality product.

Great quality and the boards work very well. The boards handle all speeds, dont dive and handle very well on the turns. A+++
