I was extremely disappointed with this reel. I have always been a believer in quantum. Let me tell you from now on I will stay with the old faithful. The reel came in without a working drag and the drag knob did not even screw into the reel. This reel was non functioning and was not at all what I expected for a supposedly quality reel. Also, a US reel is MADE IN CHINA

this little reel; sx180, has such a great line capacity. weighs quite a few ounces less than reels by other manufactures with the same line capacity.

this is a great little reel with a huge line capacity. Weighs quite a few ounces less than reels by other manufacturers with the same line capacity. The arbors make putting a braided or fused line reasonable b/c of the ability to change spool capacity.

I just got this a few weeks ago, so only time will tell how this reel stands up to the FREQUENT use I will put it to. My first impressions are very good, the drag is the nicest I've seen and it feels very smooth and solid. This reel outcasts my Shimano Stradic. I like my Stradic, but they've needed factory service within a year (slow and expensive). This reel cost just a little over half the Shimano, feels at least as nice and casts a bit better.

The reel (230SX) malfunctioned the first day used. I had purchased two for trip to amazon for peacock bass. Line was also continuously being tangled on the bail. Have sent it back for repair. [...]
