Comments about Bailey xxDan Bailey Super Stream CleatsDisc.:

Felt bottom boots will soon be a thing of the past; 'rubber bottom' boots? Cleats/studs or no .. you're going for a swim.

But NOT if you've got these Puppies on. Used them for years .. and you CAN walk up the side of a tree with the grip/traction the soft Alli bars impart.

Don't think of these as an 'over boot,' which they are, think about them as "Life Insurance."

I used spikes before I saw these cleats and thought id give them a try. Went salmon fishing on the salmon river in N.Y. the rocks in that river are really slick. I was impressed with the grip I had with these cleats. Great product.

Comments about Bailey xxDan Bailey Super Stream CleatsDisc.:

"These sandals tend to be small. If in doubt, order the next size up."

Gross understatement! No idea where D B gets this sizing chart but it's 'bunk,' ... unless you're sporting tennis shoes and wet wading. GREAT PRODUCT that does as advertised, but if you're putting these over 'regular' wading boots order up AT LEAST two sizes larger (three would be better).

If not, you're not going to get them on over a felt bottomed wading boot. Period. (Years of experience using the product speaking here.)

Cheapest 'life insurance' you can buy.
By fredaevansVerified Purchaser from Ashland, Oregon on 2/26/2008
Pros:
Durable, Easy To Maintain, Functional
Cons:
Difficult To Use
Best Uses:
Fresh Water, River fishing
Describe Yourself:
Avid Fisher
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Bailey xxDan Bailey Super Stream CleatsDisc.:

These are the cheapest 'life insurance policy' you can buy if you river fish (salmon, steelhead, what-ever). Unlike 'studded' studded wading boots the bottoms are soft aluminum bars. "Hard studs" will just slide off a slippery rock; aluminum will dig in and hold. Where 'wading' can be dangerous, this IS the product you want on your feet.

Period.

Down side? They are rather heavy, but that's why they'll last for years. Other down side? They can be a bit of a pain to slide over your regular wading shoe/boot. But it is necessary they fit snugly.
