Better than my old worn out felt soles but not as good as new felt and studs together.
I am glad I tried them and I would buy them again knowing what I know now.
This was my inexpensive test of an alternative to felt and I think I can safely make the transition to non-felt, based upon this test.

Bought this sole to fish the Madison & Gallatin Rivers in MT. They worked reasonably well. The rocks in these rivers are slippery and sometimes covered in algae.
