St. Croix Avid Series Fly Rods

Crafted from St. Croix's exclusive high-modulus SC^III graphite, the Avid Series Fly Rods are versatile, moderate action fly rods that load smoothly and progressively down the blank for a silky casting stroke and exceptional feel. Featuring Croix's exclusive IPC technology and slim profile ferrules all cloaked in a sultry canteen green pearl, these rods are nothing short of classically elegant.

The St. Croix Avid Series fly rods are built with St. Croix's SC^III graphite. This is an advanced, high-modulus graphite that delivers maximum durability and sensitivity. Not as fast as the SC^IV graphite used on the Legend Ultras, the SC^III graphite blank material creates a rod with a smooth, light feel in the hand and superb power.

These rods feature Integrated Poly Curve tooling technology. The first process of its kind, IPC creates tapers that are a continuous curve from the tip to the butt of the rod - eliminating all weakening transition points. That means stronger rods and actions that cast with unprecedented smoothness. It's a remarkable performance breakthrough and it's exclusive to St. Croix.

These rods include the following features:

Fuji Alconite stripper guides with black frames
Hard chrome, single-foot fly guides on 2 through 6 wt. models
