Shimano Caius Baitcasting Reels feature a bold appearance and design and include many easy-to-operate and easy-to-learn features. The Caius is available in right-hand retrieve 200 and left-hand retrieve 201 models. These reels are perfect for anglers wanting to step up to the fishing benefits of a low-profile casting reel.
The Caius features Shimano’s Easy Mag II Braking System – a magnetic cast control that allows for a true freespool setting. With Easy Mag II, the spool controlling magnets rotate to face each other, cancelling themselves so they apply zero force on the spool. You can continue to turn down the magnetic control to provide better freespool and more casting distance.
