The Sheffield S-1002 Center Pin Reel/DRII Float Rod Combo FishUSA has put together features the high quality Okuma Sheffield S-1002 Center Pin Reel and your choice of Sheffield DRII Float Rods.
The Okuma Sheffield S-1002 Center Pin Reel raises the bar for a quality center pin reel at an affordable price. These reels feature precision machined aluminum construction and smooth, stainless steel ball bearings for a reel that is capable of producing miles of drag free drifts. These reels are extremely durable, providing a lifetime of fishing.
This reel has a 4.5" spool diameter.
Additional features of the Sheffield S-1002 Center Pin Reel include:
- Precision CNC machine-cut aluminum one-piece frame and spool
- Stainless steel shaft
- Two German precision HPB stainless steel ball bearings
- Ported spool with exposed rim for easy control
- On-off ratchet
- Twin removable wooden handles
The manufacturer rates the capacity of this reel at 275 yards of 8 pound line with 50 yards of 20 pound backing.

Sheffield DRII Float Rods are constructed on high modulus three piece IM9 graphite blanks. These rods are available with either a fixed reel seat or with slip rings that allow the reel to be placed anywhere on the handle for that perfect balance. The handles are constructed of premium cork rings with rubberized cork accent rings and rounded cork butts. Both models feature Fuji Alconite new concept guides. The fixed reel seat model sports a wood reel seat. The Sheffield DRII Float Rods come in a protective cloth sock.
Longer rods provide excellent control when float fishing, allowing longer drifts and better hook sets. The Sheffield DRII 13' 4" float rods are an ideal choice for the salmon and steelhead float angler on both the Great Lake tributaries as well as the West Coast rivers and streams.
