Shakespeare Ugly Stiks are synonymous with durability. We carry this rod in three popular trolling models, two designed for downrigger fishing, and one for Dipsy Divers. These rods are in the "Big Water" line of the Ugly Stiks and carry the Shakespeare 5 year limited warranty.
These rods have the following features:
- Durable EVA foam grips
- Graphite Fugi reel seats with corrosion resistant stainless steel hoods
- Blank-through-handle construction for added strength and sensitivity
- Epoxy-coated blanks for protection from UV rays
- Top quality Fugi guides with stainless steel frames and aluminum oxide inserts
The Dipsy model is considerably more beefy; among other things the handle is thicker and longer and it is considerably thicker than the downrigger models. Also the Dipsy model does not have the characteristic "clear tip" found on most Ugly Stik rods.
