These spinning combination are great all-around ice fishing combos for small to medium species. We offer the "Pro Touch Ice Combo" in three combinations, a Shakespeare Alpha Ice 225 ball-bearing front drag spinning reel, matched with either a 26" medium-light or 28" medium action Shakespeare "Pro Touch" Ice Rod (pictured above) or a Shakespeare Synergy Micro underspin reel, matched with a 26" light action Shakespeare "Pro Touch" Ice Rod (seen to the right).
These one-piece rod feature a tubular glass construction with a ground cork handle with EVA foam ends, graphite sliding rings, wide ceramic guides and a black gloss finish with gold trim. The Alpha Ice 225 reel features a ball-bearing design, front drag and a reversible retrieve.
The Synergy Micro reel also has a ball-bearing design but is an underspin reel with a titanium line guide.
As a added bonus the underspin combo comes pre-spooled with 70 yards of 4lb. Shakespeare's Supreme Ice cold weather fishing line.
