Mastery Headstart Fly Lines feature a compact taper design, perfect for a wide range of casting distances. Mastery Headstart Fly Lines have low memory core which aids in line mending and are a half line size heavy to aid in casting today's fast action rods. The extra weight also helps the new angler feel the rod load, a crucial step in learning correct casting techniques. The added "Telecast" bump located behind the head tells the angler that the correct amount of line is out to make a cast. Mastery Headstart Fly Lines also feature a built-in streamlined loop for easy leader connections.
We stock Scientific Anglers Mastery Headstart Fly Lines in weight forward in line weights WF4F through WF8F. This line comes in a hi-vis Optic Yellow color for easy visibility. This line is recommended for cold water use.
