Redington RS4 Fly Rod & Reel Outfits
The Redington RS4 fly fishing outfits offer a broad series of fresh and saltwater outfits for nearly any situation. The machined aluminum, cork/teflon-drag Rise reel coupled with the RS4 rod provides a beautifully balanced system. In addition to the rod and reel, the outfit includes Rio Mainstream weight-forward floating fly line, a knotless tapered leader, 20 pound test backing and a black Cordura covered rod and reel case.
With actions inspired by Redington's other medium-fast action fly rods, the RS4 was made to equip all levels of anglers fishing a diverse array of fisheries. The RS4 is great for accommodating all day casting, yet powerful enough to cover a lot of water. The RS4 series fly rods have a slightly faster action than it's predicessor, the RS3 series. The RS4's moss-colored blank is constructed with high-end 51-million modulus Toray graphite.
All RS4 models in line weights 7 through 9 have full anodized aluminum reel seats with and small (non-removable) fighting butts. Other features of the RS4 series fly rods include AAA grade Portuguese cork handles, Pac Bay Aluminum Oxide stripping guides and Laser engraved reel seats. Outfits marked as Saltwater come with Rio Mainstream Saltwater flylines, designed for use in saltwater environments.
The Rise reel which come in the outfit has features often only available in more expensive reels. It is made of machined 6061 barstock aluminum, and is a "mid arbor" style (between a regular arbor and a large arbor reel). This reel features a strong center drag mechanism that incorporates a cork drag washer. The Rise reel in this outfit comes in an anodized moss color.
