The Redington RS3 fly rods (formerly RS2 series) are classic, high performance fly rods. Redington improved the blank composition, cosmetics and finishes, but kept the prices at previous levels. These rods are available in two piece, four piece travel and four piece Spey models.
All the RS3 models in weights 2 through 6 have the wood reel seat insert, the models in weights 7 through 10 have the stainless reel seat and a small (non-removable) fighting butt, and the Spey models in weights 7 through 9 have the stainless reel seat and a short butt grip, with a long fore grip. These handles are shown in the images below. The 12 weight (which is not shown) has a larger fore-grip and a rounded fighting butt.

Each rod comes with a hard, Cordura rod tube and a compartmentalized rod sock.
