Redington Pursuit Fly Fishing Outfits are smooth casting, high performance graphite fly outfits ideal for the novice to intermediate fly angler. Each outfit includes a fast action Pursuit rod, a large arbor Pursuit reel pre-spooled with matching Rio Mainstream weight forward floating fly line, backing and a tapered leader and a custom rod/reel case perfect for storage and travel.

Pursuit Series Fly Rods feature fast-action, caramel-colored blanks constructed of a blend of high modulus graphites, finished with AAA grade cork handles, wood and anodized aluminum reel seat components, Pac Bay Aluminum Oxide stripping guides and chrome snake guides. These outfits come with two or four piece rods. The two piece models are designated "-2" and the four piece models are designated "-4" at the end of the model number. All the models in weights 4, 5 and 6 have a wood reel seat insert and all the models in weights 8 and 9 have an anodized aluminum reel seat with a 1" non-removable fighting butt.

The Pursuit fly reel features a durable cast aluminum frame and graphite spool with a large arbor design. The strong center disc drag helps to put the brakes on hard charging fish. These reels are easily converted from left to right hand retrieve.

Please note that saltwater models OSPUR 890-4 and OSPUR 990-4 feature Rio Mainstream Saltwater fly line. This weight forward floating line is designed for use in tropical conditions. All other models feature standard Rio Mainstream fly line for freshwater use.
